Police search for men who attack car dealership owner

Roswell police are searching for two men who attacked a car dealership owner.

ROSWELL, Ga. — Shawn Moshiri told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik the men came into his used car lot on Houze Road on Dec. 30 posing as mechanics who wanted to inspect a car.

He said one of the men offered to buy a Porsche.

"I'll give you $60,000 cash right now and you give the key and the title, no paperwork," he said the man told him.  "I said,'Sir, you are in the wrong dealership, go somewhere else.  They can do it for you.'"

Moshiri said one of the men pulled a gun, put it in his stomach, and then punched him the face so hard it broke his eye socket.

“They covered my mouth and started punching me in my face,” he said.  “He put me on the ground and started punching me with his shoes, with his fist, everything.  And I was bleeding.”

Moshiri said the men stole the Rolex watch off his wrist as well as a gold chain, then fled.

Police told Petchenik they are looking into whether the men are related to a woman who attempted to buy the same car weeks earlier, but was denied because her credit wasn’t good enough.

“They were denied credit for the vehicle, came back several times asking to pay cash for the vehicle,” said Officer Lisa Holland.  “They wouldn’t accept the cash.”

Holland said detectives were following up on leads related to the previous customer, but have no suspects identified yet.

“Unfortunately the victims couldn’t provide a great description,” she said.

Police said Moshiri was also robbed a few months ago outside of a Holcomb Bridge Road Krystal store.  No suspects have been identified in that case, police told Petchenik.

“It’s crazy.  Crazy,” he said.  “It’s not a safe place in Roswell.”
