Worker assaulted, shots fired at Gwinnett barber shop

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police responded to a shooting at a strip mall on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Peachtree Corners Thursday.

Police told Channel 2's Tony Thomas that up to five people attacked a worker at Mane Priority Barber Shop and fired a gun.

People at the strip mall told Thomas the scene was chaotic.

"I just saw a lot of people coming out of the barbershop running, so I took off running, too. The next thing you know I just hear 'Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.' It was crazy," said witness Keith Martin.

Police say they do not have any evidence that anyone was hit by the bullets. The gunmen fled the scene and police do not have a good description of them.

The worker suffered injuries to his head and face. He was taken to the hospital, but has non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
