SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police say at least one gunman is still on the loose after a shooting outside an apartment complex left two men injured.
Residents at the Hickory Park Apartments on Delano Road said they were not sure where to take cover as a barrage of bullets began flying, just before 1 p.m.
"Like, 'Pow, pow, pow, pow, boom, boom, boom," said a woman, who requested her identity be withheld for her safety.
Within seconds, two men were wounded and at least three cars damaged after the confrontation in a parking lot.
Police said one man is in serious condition, while another has stabilized.
"We do know three males were en route to this location to possibly pick up another male subject," Melissa Parker of Fulton County Police Department said. "When they arrived, one party had gotten out of the vehicle and popped the trunk."
Then the shooting started, police told Channel 2's Tony Thomas. They said one of the wounded men fell and the other was found two miles away on South Fulton Parkway.

Police said at least one window was shot out of a car involved in the original shooting.
"There were a lot of witnesses here, so we are hoping to get this case solved soon," Parker added.
Many said they are thankful that no children outside during the incident were hurt. Police are not sure whether both wounded men were directly involved in the altercation.
"It just sounded real close. I don't know is they were shooting in the breezeway or not," an observer said. "But it was real close."
