The city of Milton needs your help naming its new city park

MILTON, Ga. — The city of Milton needs some help naming a new park.

The 5-acre property sits along Mayfield Road, next to the Lakeside at Crabapple neighborhood.

“That subdivision’s developer, Taylor Morrison, had created the retention pond, wood structures, walking areas, and more before turning it over to the City of Milton more than one year ago,” the city said in a Facebook post.

“After determining what to call its Mayfield Road property, the City plans to move onto naming its athletic facility off Cox Road (which this summer is being transformed by turning two grass fields into a pair of large, multipurpose turf fields) and eventually various greenspaces,” the city said.

Anyone who would like to submit a name for the new park should email the city at nameourparks@miltonga.gov. The city will close its submission at noon on Friday, June 17.
