New video shows man sucker-punching 76-year-old at Kroger

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department has released shocking video of a man sucker-punching a 76-year-old shopper at Kroger.

The incident happened in January at the store on Braselton Highway in Dacula.

Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes spoke to the victim, who did not want to be identified by name, said he pulled up, saw someone parked in a fire lane, and on his way inside the store, he said, “You’re not supposed to park here.”

Police said surveillance video shows a woman, who was in the parked car in the fire lane outside, go in the store, walk up to the victim and say something.

Officials said a man who was with her then assaulted the 76-year-old man.

“And the next thing I know, this jerk comes around and just cold-cocks me right flat on the floor,” the victim said.

The suspect took off and police are still looking for him now.
