ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned police have searched the last known address of a suspected serial killer.
Investigators are working to determine Aeman Lovel Presely's every last step in the last few months.
Channel 2 Action News first reported Presley is a suspect in four murders.
Atlanta police charged Presley with two counts of murder in connection with two deaths, on Nov. 23 and Nov. 26. He was arrested late last week.
He's also charged with two other killings in DeKalb County, a woman in December and a man in September.
Within the last 24 hours, detectives have searched Presley’s last known address at an apartment complex on Memorial Drive. They believe that it is his apartment because he didn't have a car and the apartment complex is near a MARTA bus stop.
Two MARTA officers say they caught Presley trying to skip the fare in a MARTA station and found a gun and ammo in his bag.
Detective David Quinn said another MARTA officer remembered watching a Crimestoppers story that first aired on Channel 2 Action News which led to a phone call.
"Homicide detectives don’t need guns, we don’t need the badges. It's all about the conversation," Quinn said.
Those conversations led to four murder charges.
"You need your luck. I didn't know the way it was coming, but it came in the way of MARTA,” Quinn said.
Investigators haven’t released what they were able to pull from Presley's apartment unit, but they said he was active on Facebook.
They’re hoping all these factors will lead to a motive in the killings.
