ATLANTA — One person is dead and a killer is on the loose after gunfire in the courtyard of an Atlanta apartment complex.
Atlanta police said shots were fired in the courtyard of the Central Methodist Apartments on Fairburn Road just before midnight on Monday.
Homicide investigators told Channel 2's Darryn Moore that the victim was among several people standing in a crowd when the gunman bypassed everyone else and shot him.
When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the ground dead from several gunshot wounds.
Police have no description of the suspect or motive behind the shooting.
