Man sentenced to death in killing of teens

ATLANTA — A Fulton County man has been sentenced to death for the 2007 murder of two teens.

After less than 24 hours, a jury sentenced Jeremy Moody, 35, to death for the murder of Del Mattox, 15, and Chrisondra Kimble, 13.

Their naked bodies were found in a wooded lot in College Park. Both had been stabbed to death with a screwdriver. Kimble had also been sexually assaulted.

After Moody was sentenced to death, the victims' family members said justice had been served.

"Although this is hard and bittersweet, but in the end our loved ones have been avenged," Vivian Favors said.

Their grandmother, Vivian Mattox also added, "We had prayed on it and we knew God was going to do his thing and we left it up to God."
