2 arrested in Kroger armed robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery that temporarily closed a southeast Atlanta Kroger.
According to police, two people demanded money from cashiers at gunpoint at the Kroger at 1160 Moreland Ave.Thursday morning.
The owner of a dry-cleaning shop in the same strip mall says thieves also hit his business.
The robbers ran away, but police caught and arrested them within minutes because of the owner's detailed description.
Police say they had to stun one of the robbers as they took him into custody.
No injuries have been reported.
The owner says this is the second time his business has been robbed at gunpoint in less than two months.
Kroger released a statement saying: “Safety is a top priority at Kroger. No customers or associates were injured during the incident. Kroger notified local law enforcement immediately and the suspect was arrested shortly thereafter.”
