HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit filed 132 additional charges Thursday against a 45-year-old Gainesville man already jailed on child sexual abuse charges.
The new charges against Richard A. Garcia-Hernandez include seven counts of producing child sexual abuse material and 125 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.

The additional charges stem from forensic analysis of electronic devices seized from Garcia-Hernandez’s home during a July 2 search warrant execution.
Investigators originally arrested Garcia-Hernandez during that search on charges related to the sexual abuse of a victim younger than age 10.

A preliminary investigation by the unit indicates Garcia-Hernandez produced five videos and two images depicting himself sexually abusing two female children.
Investigators believe one victim is the same child from the July arrest, while the second victim is not from the local area.
The 125 possession charges include the seven files Garcia-Hernandez allegedly produced, as well as 118 other items. According to investigators, those 118 files were not produced by Garcia-Hernandez, did not depict him and did not involve local victims.
Garcia-Hernandez remains held without bond at the Hall County Jail, where he has been incarcerated since his July arrest. An immigration detainer has also been placed on him.
