Kennesaw State football season opens against East Tennessee State

ATLANTA — The Owls will play their first ever football game Thursday at 7:30 p.m. when they visit East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tennessee.

KSU is competing on the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level in its inaugural season. (FCS is the division formerly known as 1-AA.)  The Owls will play 11 games this season, including six at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw.

The Owls are led by Brian Bohannon, who was named head coach in March 2013 after serving as quarterback and blocking backs coach at Georgia Tech for five seasons.

KSU’s first home game is set for Saturday, Sept. 12 against Edward Waters College at 4:00 p.m.
