ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — Rockdale deputies said human remains were found after someone called in a drowning over the weekend.
Deputies said they were alerted to a possible drowning on Wilson Road on June 3.

Deputies found a body at the scene, though they did not give information about the condition of the body or how long the remains may have been at the location.

Deputies said they were aware of an ongoing missing person’s case and are looking into a possible connection between the body and the missing person. They did not say which missing person’s case they think may be involved.

Wilson Road parallels the Yellow River, though it is unclear exactly where the body was found.
Deputies said the medical examiner is working to determine the victim’s identity.
