Here are the Georgia faces you’ll see at the Democratic National Convention this week

ATLANTA — The Democratic National Convention kicks off Monday and you will see a lot of familiar faces from Georgia.

Former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams will join State Rep. Sam Park for a joint keynote Tuesday night.

Former United States Attorney General and Atlanta-native Sally Yates will also speak Tuesday.

Thursday, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will get a prime time spot just before Joe Biden delivers his keynote.

The Democratic party will host an essentially all-virtual convention, broadcasting two hours of prime-time programming Monday through Thursday.

Joe Biden will not be in the host city of Wisconsin, but will instead give his acceptance speech from Delaware.

Primetime keynote speeches will feature former first lady Michelle Obama on Monday, Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, on Tuesday and former President Barack Obama on Wednesday before Biden accepts the nomination in an address on Thursday.

Each night has a different theme. Here is the schedule:

Monday – “We the People”: The Biden campaign will highlight what they say are the nation’s three major crises – racial injustice, the struggling economy and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tuesday – “Leadership Matters”: Health care workers, small business owners, veterans and activists will highlight the evening aimed at highlighting the differences between Biden and Trump. A DNC official told USA TODAY that the evening will “raise the question, what does leadership mean?”

Wednesday – “A More Perfect Union” will lay out Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan for the economy the pandemic.

Thursday – “America’s Promise”: Biden will accept his party’s nomination as the others speaking that night will talk about his character and his record in Washington.
