ATLANTA — Halloween decorations hanging outside a Buckhead home have offended a group of city workers.
A skeletal figure wearing an orange suit is hanging from a noose.
"It reminded me of my ancestors and what they went through," John Dye, one of the workers told Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez."I was bothered, mad and upset."

The hanging figure has some questioning the owners’ intentions. Dye said when he saw the figure he was immediately taken aback.
“This right here is not Halloween-ish. This is pure racism to me. It was the noose and the color of the skeleton,” Dye said.
Jaquez went to the home and spoke to one of the owners. The owner made it clear that when she and her family put up the décor it was meant to be festive, not offensive.
When Jaquez explained why Dye felt uneasy – she was extremely apologetic and within seconds took down the decoration.
When we asked Dye if he felt better knowing the homeowner apologized and took it down immediately, he said yes and went on to say, “All I could do is accept her apology. She took it down and that’s what I wanted.”
Jaquez set up a private meeting between Dye and the homeowners. Dye said he felt much better having talked to them. He said he understands there was no malicious intent.
