HALL COUNTY — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery after a store clerk was punched in the head Wednesday night.

Around 9:45 p.m. deputies were called to the Stop by Food Mart #2 in the 2100 block of U.S. 129 and Cleveland Highway.
According to Hall County officials, a man came into the store and punched the clerk in the head and forced him to hand over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
The suspect ran away on foot.

Surveillance photos shows the suspect wearing a mask, blue hoodie and light-colored blue jeans with rips and holes. Authorities say, additionally, it appears the suspect was also wearing a white undershirt, blue pants or shorts under the jeans, black shoes, black gloves and a silver chain around his neck.
