A Georgia wildlife officer jumped into action to help a bird of prey.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources rangers were called to Old Federal Campground at Lake Lanier last week after someone spotted a red-tailed hawk that had a fishing lure hooked into its foot.
The agency shared a video of an officer carefully capturing the hawk, to take out the lure.
“(Urban Wildlife Technician Matt Leo) captured the hawk, removed the lure and the hawk flew off, hopefully to have a better day,” DNR said in a Facebook post.
