HALL COUNTY, Ga. — During a shore sweep Sunday morning, Georgia DNR Rangers located a body near Three Sisters Island on Lake Lanier.
Authorities believe the body to be Kevin Theodore Husum, 23, from Panama City, Florida,
Forsyth County Fire personnel assisted in the recovery of the victim.
The body will be sent to the GBI crime lab for positive identification.
Rangers and deputies had been searching for Husum since the incident last weekend, using sonar for the first several days and then performing surface and shore sweeps twice daily.

The DNR Aviation Unit also flew the area regularly as part of the search effort.
The operator of the pontoon, Kenneth Toller of Cumming, Georgia, was arrested for Boating Under the Influence (BUI). %

DNR Law Enforcement’s Critical Incident Reconstruction Team (CIRT) is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
That investigation is expected to take several weeks to complete.
