Hair weave thief crashes U-Haul into beauty supply store

ATLANTA — Atlanta police say someone stole a box truck and drove it through a beauty supply store to steal hair weaves.

Police said someone plowed into the J&J Beauty Supply store on Sylvan Road early Wednesday morning with a mid-sized U-Haul truck.

The store owner arrived at the store to assess the damage and try to determine how many hair weaves were stolen.

Officers said they are examining surveillance footage, but they are not sure they can enhance it well enough to pull anything helpful from it.

A witness was interviewed by police.
