Police search for multiple gunmen after deadly nightclub shooting

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett police have identified the teenager killed in a shootout in front of a nightclub on Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Authorities say Domiquo Riley, 19, of Snellville died Sunday morning.

Police told Channel 2's Gwinnett County bureau chief Tony Thomas, that they have surveillance video taken during the shootout but that the quality might not be very good.

Investigators are looking for multiple shooters.

Police say the gunfire broke out early Sunday morning in front of the Midnight Blu Club.

Investigators say it was luck no one else was killed since there were dozens of bullets fired by several different people. One woman was injured and the windows of several cars were shattered.

LAS VEGAS SHOOTING:

"It went through my windshield. It went through my driver's seat near the right shoulder area. Then it penetrated my back seat," said one man, who was inside the club when the shooting began. "I just got to make sure I got my gun with me at all times."

Witnesses said the club's security officer also fired shots, but was overwhelmed by the firepower.

Witnesses say an altercation began between two groups inside the club but as one group left, someone pulled up in a car and opened fire from a window. Detectives said they are looking at surveillance video and trying to convince witnesses to talk.

"Crime scene investigators have recovered multiple different types of shell casings. We are searching, essentially, multiple shooters," said Cpl. Deon Washington, of the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Investigators say it's unclear if the 19-year-old victim was involved in the dispute or just happened to be nearby.

"It was just like the O.K. Corral," said witness Kevin Birch. "They think a gun is the answer to solving every problem, but it really isn't."
