SAINT MARYS, Ga. — A Georgia Lottery player jumped at least a tax bracket after a lucky scratcher win.
According to the Georgia Lottery, a 50X The Money scratch-off ticket led to a Saint Marys player winning, and becoming a millionaire.
Lottery officials said the lucky ticket was bought at Addy’s Corner on Osborne Road and the player got their winnings Monday.

The Georgia Lottery Corporation said it has used funds from lottery players to return more than $30.6 billion to the state for education.
All Georgia Lottery profits pay for educational programs in Georgia, including the HOPE Scholarship and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
Officials said the funds have helped more than 2.3 million students go to college and more than 2.2 million four-year-olds go to the prekindergarten program.
