Georgia brewery teams up with Waffle House for a ‘bacon’ beer

GREENE COUNTY, Ga. — Scattered, covered and bubbly.

For the first time in its history Waffle House is collaborating with a Georgia brewery to come out with a beer.

Oconee Brewing Company will soon launch “Bacon & Kegs red ale.” The brewery says the beer will have the distinct scent of bacon.

“The beloved scent of bacon stands out from the typical medium hop aroma of a red ale. The malty sweetness of the base beer blends perfectly with the salty, savory, and smokey bacon extract to create a delicious and unique beer. Bacon & Kegs pairs well with breakfast food items (obviously!) or can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, soon to be iconic beer.”

The beer is 6.5% abv and is dark red in color.

The beer will be available next month at the Oconee Brewing Company.
