FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Students and staff are mourning the loss of an elementary school teacher who died at school Friday.
Derek Cleveland worked as a music teacher at A. Philip Randolph Elementary School in Fulton County.
Cleveland died unexpectedly on school grounds, school officials said. His cause of death has not been determined.
Students who opted for face-to-face learning at Randolph Elementary are in class for two full days of instruction a week. It’s unclear if students were in Cleveland’s classroom at the time of his death.
