Free waffles in Athens... if UGA beats Auburn

ATHENS, Ga. — Waffle House is taking part in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry in a big way, giving fans extra incentive to pull for their teams.

Depending on which school wins Saturday night between the Hedges, a Waffle House location in either Athens or Auburn will receive free waffles, hash browns and coffee for a day, according to Saturday Down South.

Waffle House also plans to give the winning school’s general scholarship fund $15,000.

Last season, the first Waffle Wager took place between Alabama and Texas A&M. Waffle House ended up giving away nearly 2,000 waffles and 1,500 cups of coffee at one of its Tuscaloosa restaurants.
