Deputies investigate after man pulled from water at Lake Lanier

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death at Lake Lanier.

According to a news release, Dawson County government officials say a body was found at War Hill Park on Friday, May 12, 2023.

Forsyth County Coroner Paul Holbrook told Channel 2 Action News the cause of death is under investigation and the GBI will perform an autopsy.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner are investigating the case.

Officials did not release the age or identity of the victim but did say they were male.
