DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — The star soccer player and daughter of a beloved soccer coach who died in an accident over the weekend is back in the classroom.
Jed Lacey, who was a soccer coach at Dawson County High School, was killed in a four-vehicle pileup on GA 400 Saturday morning.
The accident involved a car, an SUV and two dump trucks near Exit 16 in Forsyth County.
Lacey's daughter, Falon, was hurt in the crash, along with her boyfriend, who remains hospitalized, but is expected to be OK, according to officials.
The father and two teens were headed to metro Atlanta for a soccer clinic when the accident happened.
“Falon was a joy for him,” said Principal Richard Crumley.
He said that Falon, who is a junior, was back in class Monday trying to get some sort of normalcy.
