• Former librarian charged with child exploitation

    CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga.,None - A former librarian is in custody for allegedly having child pornography in his office, authorities said.

    Cherokee County Sheriff's Office officials said 59-year-old Michael Martinez faces six counts of child exploitation. 

    The charges come after officials at Reinhardt University, where Martinez worked as a librarian, reported that they found child pornographic images in his office.

    Martinez is being held at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center without bond.
