Former Kennesaw mayor accused of child molestation

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A former mayor of Kennesaw is facing serious charges after he was accused of child molestation Friday.
 
Leonard Leroy Church, of Kennesaw, was charged with two counts of child molestation.
 
According to detectives, a young boy reported to his parents that he had been shown pornographic material and molested at a home on the 2000 block of Dreux Ct.
 
Church is a current city council member and was mayor of Kennesaw from 2000-2008.
 
Church is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
