Father of Norcross teen killed in home invasion arrested

NORCROSS, Ga. — The father of a 15-year-old Norcross student gunned down in a home invasion was arrested Wednesday.

Nicholas Jackson Jr. was killed in February when six men broke into his home while he played video games. At the time, police said the burglars were targeting the home, but the boy was not the intended victim.

The teen's father, Nicholas Jackson Sr., 38, was arrested at the Norcross Police Department on a warrant relating to a federal investigation. Jackson Sr. is charged with several counts of cocaine and marijuana posession with intent to sell.

It is unclear whether his case is in any way connected to the February home invasion.

Norcross police assisted the Drug Enforcement Agency in the elder Jackson's arrest.
