Deputies Jacob Hitchcock and Spencer Gray are being credited for helping save the teen’s life.

Johnson says Deputy Hitchcock pressed on his wounds with a compression pad to help stop bleeding and help him breathe more easily.

“I don’t know how to say it, but I greatly, greatly appreciate you,” Jeremiah’s mother Carlene Johnson told the deputies.
