DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — New Manchester High School was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after a person living in a nearby home had a mental health issue.
Deputies with Douglas County said the man shot some rounds out of the back of his home.
Investigators said the man was eventually taken into custody and sent him to a nearby hospital for a mental evaluation.
Deputies said there was no threat to the school and the lockdown was done as a precaution.
