Douglas County sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who they believe is destroying campaign signs.
Candidates from each party identified the man, deputies said.
Investigators told Channel 2's Liz Artz that they are looking for Hank Jenkins.
They have warrants for his arrest and said he's the man seen in a video cutting campaign signs for the 2016 sheriff's election.
Deputies say 55-year-old Jenkins is wanted for criminal trespass and damage to property.
"You're trying to run a campaign and, uh, someone comes along as damage your signs; that's not right," Chris Womack said.
Womack told Artz he's funding a large portion of his campaign from his own pocket and is out more than
$1,000 from the destroyed signs.
Artz also spoke to Ken Black, who said he's had at least 10 signs vandalized, some of them costing as much as $15.
Investigators told Artz candidates along each party line were able to identify Jenkins.
"Mr. Jenkins (was) identified through video (by) two of the other candidates, Mike Barnhill and Tim Pounds," Black said.
Lieutenant Glenn Daniels says Jenkins is known to them, but not for interfering with a campaign.
"He's been in trouble in the past but not for this," Daniels said.
One candidate told Artz he's out more than $100 due to destroyed signs.
