DECATUR, Ga. — DeKalb County police are searching for the gunman who killed a Decatur man in his apartment.
The shooting happened at the Kenridge apartment homes in Decatur. DeKalb County police said they were called to the complex around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators said a friend visiting the victim found his body.
The friend found the front door open and the victim's body on the kitchen floor, police said. They have not identified the man but said he was in his 20s, and was shot in the head.
DeKalb's homicide commander said based on the evidence, the motive appears to be robbery, though there was no forced entry inside the apartment. Police have no witnesses or information on the shooter yet.
