SMYRNA, Ga. — A Smyrna Police special operations officer tackled a very special offer indeed: Rescuing a kitten stuck underneath an SUV.
A driver heard the mewing of a scared kitten during the morning commute Wednesday.

The driver pulled over and found that the kitten was stuck on top of the vehicle’s skid plate.

Officer Trey Stephens responded to the call for a “surgical” roadside rescue.
Stephens was able to get the kitten out safely.
Police are now searching for a home for the kitten, as the driver of the 4 x 4 is allergic to cats.
