COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Residents in an Austell neighborhood are upset and scared after a teenager was gunned down where they live earlier this week.
Aquavius Harris, 19, was shot to death Tuesday.
Police arrested Taylin Heard after they say he admitted to detectives he fired the shots. Neighbors say the pair had a festering feud, possibly because of a prior traffic accident.
Channel 2's Ross Cavitt spoke with the Harris’ mother, who has a hard time believing she’ll never see her son again.
"My sweet boy, such a sweet boy, he was so mannerable,” she said.
Some who knew him have set up a memorial at the intersection of Center and Pine Street in the neighborhood. Dozens gathered for a candlelight vigil the day after he was killed which was broadcast on social media by friends.

"I don't even know where to begin. This morning I didn't even want to get out of the bed. Aquavius was my life. I don't even know where to begin from here. I do know I want him (her son's killer) to suffer, suffer for life because I have to suffer for life,” Harris’ mother said.
Aquavius Harris graduated from South Cobb High School. His mother says he had big plans he now won’t be able to fulfill.
"We had so many plans for his life," she said. "He was taken at 19, so he didn't he didn't have a chance yet at life."
Heard is being held at the Cobb County jail without bond.
