Cherokee County deputies say a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter turned violent, leaving both injured. NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene live during Channel 2 Action News at 5 p.m.
Channel 2’s Michele Newell learned that the mother ran inside the Chick-fil-A while the daughter got into her car with her two 3-year-old children and sped off.
Acworth police who were inside the restaurant at the time helped until an ambulance arrived to take the woman to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Authorities say her injuries are severe, but she is expected to survive.
