ATLANTA — Tonight on ABC Caitlyn Jenner was presented with the Aurthur Ashe Courage Award, named for former tennis player.
The award was presented by Abby Wambach, who recently got a lot of attention for her on-camera kiss with wife Sarah Huffman after the U.S. beat Japan in the Women’s World Cup.
Many are calling the decision to present the award to Jenner as a publicity stunt. Even NBC sportscaster Bob Costas said the decision is, “…just a crass exploitation play, a tabloid play.”
No matter what anyone says, Jenner is proud of her decision to come out publicly with her story. She hopes her story will help other men and women like her.
