Braves' Mike Foltynewicz hospitalized with blood clots in arm

ATLANTA — Braves right-hander Mike Foltynewicz has been hospitalized because of blood clots in his right arm.

Foltynewicz was taken to Piedmont Hospital on Friday where he is currently being monitored and treated with blood thinners.

According to Assistant General Manager John Coppolella, Foltynewicz has swelling and redness in his arm.

Further updates on his condition will be provided by the Atlanta Braves when they become available.
