Body found in creek near Delk Road in Marietta

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Marietta investigators are trying to figure out what led to the death of a person found in a creek underneath a Delk Road overpass off I-75.

Channel 2's Ross Cavitt was there when investigators removed the man's body just before noon Tuesday. The victim may have belonged to a homeless encampment underneath the bridge.

"We do suspect the victim may be one of the homeless residents there, but right now we're unable to confirm how he passed away -- whether it was an accident or intentional," said Marietta police Officer David Baldwin.
