BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — A Bartow County family says it would rather move than give up its four goats.
Nate Holcomb says he’s had the goats for four months, and he recently won certification for each one as an emotional support animal.
Holcomb’s wife has been diagnosed with depression and says the goats are therapeutic.
The county commissioner says when there’s a complaint, they have to enforce the law. And records obtained by Channel 2 Consumer Investigator Jim Strickland say someone thinks the goats stink.

An animal control officer was out at the property last week after receiving a second complaint about the smell.
“I think it’s baloney. I feel like the government that’s supposed to be here for us, the people, is disregarding the people,” Holcomb said.
Holcomb has less than three weeks to lose the goats or they’ll be taken from him.
