ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons are now worth billions!
This comes 20 years after Arthur Blank purchased the football team.
Forbes Magazine said in its annual study of NFL teams that the franchise is worth $4 billion.
Forbes believes the Falcons’ value increased by 25% in the past year despite a fourth consecutive losing season.

Forbes said the NFL’s new National Media Rights deal is driving the surge.
The Falcons ranked 16th among the 32 NFL teams in value, squarely in the middle.
The most valuable team on the list is the Dallas Cowboys, with a valuation of $8 billion, followed by the New England Patriots, at $6.4 billion.
Coming in last was the Cincinnati Bengals, at $3 billion.
Blank originally purchased the Falcons for $545 million in 2002.
