ATLANTA — Many people are now partially vaccinated thanks to a late post on social media Wednesday night.
Channel 2 Action News went to Mercedes-Benz Stadium around 9:30 p.m. because several local health workers tweeted they had extra vaccines.

We found one woman who rushed to get the shot.
“A friend of mine actually works here. He comes to visit me at my bar. He gave me the information. We came right over. I’ve been trying to register. They made it very easy for me,” said Elizabeth Wiley.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium has given out more than 100,000 vaccines so far.
As of last week, all Georgians 16 and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be able to give up to 42,000 vaccinations a week over the next two months.
The stadium, near two MARTA stops, with free parking, won’t require any ID or insurance. It also will open weekends and later hours, till 10 p.m. two nights a week.
More than 1 million Georgians are fully vaccinated and nearly three quarters of seniors have already received at least one dose and expects supply to increase.
