ATLANTA — Our next round of rain will be moving into North Georgia later this evening.
Severe Weather Team 2 is tracking a system that will bring heavy rain with it, especially to the southern part of the metro.

The rain will begin to move into the state in the afternoon and become more widespread throughout the night and into early Wednesday.
“Just be ready for some locally heavy downpours and allow yourself a little extra time to get where you’re going tomorrow morning,” said Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns.

Here’s what you need to know:
- Rain will become increasingly widespread throughout Tuesday night.
- It will stick around throughout Wednesday afternoon and start clearing Wednesday night.
- There is still a slight chance of rain Thursday before clearing for the weekend.
