They want to include anyone who causes serious harm on a plane.
Steps from the U.S. Capitol, there was anger over what is happening in the skies.
“I was hit in the head and knocked to the ground,” flight attendant Jennifer Vitalo said.
One after the next, flight attendants shared their stories of being victims of unruly passengers.
They’re joining lawmakers to support a new bill to ban certain disruptive passengers and even go as far as putting them on the TSA’s no-fly list.
“Bad behavior should not fly and we urge Congress to pass this immediately,” flight attendant Sharon Taylor said.

The FAA tracks disruptive behavior and the number of incidents on planes dropped from 2021 to 2022.
Last year the FAA reported 2,178 unruly passengers with 831 investigations.
But there were more penalties.
The agency proposed more than $8 million in fines against unruly passengers last year.
Lawmakers say enough is enough.
“If you commit violence in the skies, you will not fly,” Rep. Eric Swalwell of California said.
While people are being fined and arrested for unruly behavior, lawmakers hope this bill will serve as a stronger deterrent.
It’s currently getting support from both Republicans and Democrats.
