ATLANTA — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man they say sexually assaulted a woman in Target.

According to police reports, a woman from Michigan who was in Atlanta for a modeling photoshoot took an Uber to the Target on Mecaslin St. on July 28.

As she was riding the escalator, she raised her long dress so it wouldn’t get caught. She reported to police she then felt a man behind her fondle her leg. She yelled at him to get away from her, and walked away from him.

She reported to police that as she shopped, she felt she was being followed and immediately left. As she was descending the escalator, the same man was behind her and began fondling her leg again and reached up to touch her rear. She shouted at him to get other people’s attention and left the store.

Surveillance footage showed the man touch her inappropriately twice as she stated. He was already inside the store when she arrived.

Police were also able to capture the Chevrolet Camaro he was driving on surveillance camera.

Anyone with information on his identity is asked to contact APD.
