Police searching for drivers they say were laying drag in downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA — Atlanta police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify multiple cars involved in street racing and reckless driving.

Police say several street racers were driving recklessly at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Centennial Olympic Park Drive around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 16.

When officers showed up, the cars sped off. Officers were only able to catch one driver.

Joshua DaJuan Davis, 18, was charged with laying drag and reckless driving. His Dodge Charger was impounded.

Police are still searching for four other vehicles that sped away.
