ATLANTA — Police say a man was hit and killed on the downtown Connector after he ran onto the highway Monday night.
Police said the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on I-75/85 northbound at 17th street.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stayed at the scene and no charges are expected to be filed.
The victim has not been identified pending notification of family.
