ATLANTA — Once again, Atlanta’s own Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is reclaiming the title of the busiest airport in the world.

Airports Council International released its new rankings Wednesday and Hartsfield-Jackson retained the number one spot.
Last year, the airport served 93.7 million passengers and performed more aircraft operations than any other airport in the world.

“ATL brings the world to Atlanta and opens opportunities for our residents and businesses. It is truly the economic powerhouse of the Southeast and a major player in our work to move Atlanta forward as an international city with opportunities for all,” said Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens
Dallas, Fort Worth was the second busiest when it comes to passenger traffic, with more than 73 million passengers in 2022.
Denver International Airport came in third, followed by Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Dubai International is fifth with more than 66 million passengers. LAX in Los Angeles is the sixth busiest in the world.
Hong Kong was number one when it comes to air cargo traffic.
