ATLANTA — Daffodils will soon be blooming at Georgia Tech thanks to a project to remember children who died in the Holocaust.
Students, faculty and community members planted daffodil bulbs as part of “The Daffodil Project” to remember the estimated 1.5 million Jewish children killed by Nazis during World War II.

Sandra Craine shared why creating the memorial garden is so personal.
“Both my parents as young polish Jews survived starvation, death marches, they were robbed of their health, their dignity, and it’s important, it’s my legacy, to tell their story,” she said.

The group has also planted daffodils on Kennesaw State University and University of Georgia campuses.
