For the 16th year, Delta’s Technical Operations team bought and assembled hundreds of bikes to donate to Marine Toys for Tots. Employees raised more than $40,000 to buy the bikes and donated more than 1,300 toys to give some much-needed holiday cheer to metro Atlanta kids.
“While the pandemic prohibited the normal gathering of employees for the presentation of the bikes, the spirit of giving still shone through as the bikes were delivered to the Marines and loaded onto trucks to be provided to Atlanta children,” Delta officials said.

TechOps employees hold fundraisers all year to buy the bikes. The pandemic made it a bit trickier this year, but employees were dedicated to making it happen.
“It is always heartening to see hundreds of bikes displayed throughout the hallway of the Atlanta TechOps facility. It’s such a proud moment to know that so many employees volunteered their time to assemble the bikes and/or gave generous donations to purchase bikes and toys,” said Mike Moore, Senior Vice President - Maintenance Operations and MRO Services Group. “This is truly the spirit of Delta TechOps.”
