ATLANTA — Atlanta black radio stations have joined together with a united goal in mind. They are aiming to increase voter registration and turnout in the upcoming November elections.
Black radio stations from companies like Cox Media Group, Entercom and Core Radio Group have banded together with a singular goal. These companies represent Atlanta favorites such as Kiss 104.1, V103, Majic 107.5 and Streetz 94.5 just to name a few.
This is the first time something like this has been done in the Atlanta market. The radio stations have teamed up with the Urban League of Greater Atlanta to register, educate and mobilize voters.

The initiative will begin on July 23 with each station dedicating a full day of on-air programming to reach the goals set by the group. The stations will follow this plan until September. The day of programming will be used to educate potential voters, inspire the community to register to vote, check current voter status and even participate in the 2020 census.
Atlanta is using the power of the airwaves to do more than move your feet but move you to the polls to vote.
